From the supplier: The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that public and private sector employers spent 8.5 billion on health care benefits for their employees in 1992. The employers bore 1.4 billion of the total while employees bore #37.2 billion in costs. Private industry accounted for 3.7 billion of the total health care costs, while the financial, insurance and real estate sector accounted for .1 billion of the total.
